![]() If you are looking for a single player game that will last you a while, look elsewhere. Overall, it was a fun game that is best played with other people. I tried many times throughout each day I played to do anything online and I never could find a person playing which is a shame as it takes away all replay value unless you have dedicated friends to play with. Be warned though that online is COMPLETELY dead. I played the game locally with a friend for a few hours and that was a lot of fun. Even though I unlocked all costumes except the noise ones which require leveling up online, I didn't buy any because are so expensive (roughly 6000 sparks per character for everything). Given you only receive about 50-100 sparks (money) per fight and a singe character costs 1000, it is a bit unrewarding since the grind takes forever. Unlocking all the characters, music, stages, and game modes using in-game currency took a while. Arcade mode was decent as my only complaint with it is how long it is since you have to fight every single character (minus Toxic / Dust & Ashes). The story mode was fun and eases the player into the mechanics of the game and the narrative itself, while not very detailed, was interesting. The art style and music remind me of Jet Set Radio and this would have fit in well if released on the Dreamcast.
